Inspired by and designed to take on the rugged mountains of Utahs Wasatch Range, Altra Lone Peak 3.0 Mid Neoshell trail shoes are tough enough to take on the most aggressive terrain. This new update features the same Stone Guard™ and Trail Claw™ outsole protect feet from rocks and other debris. This unique shoe with it’s special mid-cut style provides runners with excellent traction for extreme uphill and downhill conditions. The 100% waterproof Neoshell® technology protects runners from the elements while hiking in unpredictable weather. Upper: Neoshell® waterproof technology to protect feet against the elements. Gaiter Trap hook-and-loop tab conveniently secures the trail running gaiters to the shoe without having to strap them below the outsole. Padded tongue and heel collar enhance comfort. Lace-up front offers an adjustable fit. Quick-Dry Trail Mesh provides breathable flexibility. Midsole: A Zero Drop™ platform with a FootShape™ toe box allows the toes to relax and spread out naturally and the big toe to remain in a straight position for more stability and powerful toe-off to maximize running performance. EVA with A-Bound™ sits directly under the foot to reduce the impact of hard surfaces and return energy into each stride. Stone Guard™ offers flexible protection from the rugged terrain by deflecting rocks into the midsole for a smooth, stable ride. Outsole: Sticky Rubber Trail Claw™ positions canted lugs directly below the foot metatarsals and claws near the front of the shoe for incredible traction in uphill and downhill conditions.
